How To Submit
Channel 101: NY Submission Process
There are two ways to submit your show:
Option A: TWO DVDs
- If you submit on DVD, we need two disks from you:
- a playable DVD for our panel members to watch, and
- a data DVD, with an uncompressed Quicktime file (no other format is accepted), in case your show makes it into the screening.
Option B: MiniDV
- Note that it is a miniDV -- not a full-sized DV..
- Make sure your MiniDV tape is recorded in "SP" mode (not LP).
- DON'T USE DVCAM MODE -- we can't import it.
Whichever way you submit your show, label both the tape or DVD and the case with
- The title of the show, the name of the creator, and your e-mail address.
- The show can be a maximum of five minutes, including credits and everything.
- The show should be in our P.O. box on the day of the deadline, not just postmarked by the deadline. We pick up the tapes that day.
- The show should be presented as a TV show.
- The show should be good.
That's it!
Where do I send my show?
Mail your pilot to the following address using USPS. (Do not use a delivery service like FedEx or UPS.) If the mailing label/envelope has a box that says "No signature required," make sure that box is checked. No one will be able to sign for the package.

What happens then?
- The creators of the prime time shows watch all the shows.
- They pick the best five or so to be screened.
- At the screening, a live audience watches the new pilots and new episodes of the prime time shows.
- The audience votes. Top 5 shows become the new prime time lineup. There is no online voting. The live audience decides.
